Why yes, this is indeed the stream
as it passes by your room...
"What
a beautiful place to
rekindle the song of our spirits"
--Maryville, TN

"To
sleep beside the rushing
creek was like a balm. Being
among the water and the wood
returned the word
'celebration' to our love."
--Rockledge, FL
Stress is

"Climbing in between the already
heated sheets under a beautiful
quilt on a cold evening, we left the
window open slightly so we
could hear the trickle & rush of the
creek - no less than amazing!"

The Woodland Room
Replete with the calm of the wilderness, this
charming and elegant room could be taken from a page in
a fairy tale, perhaps Hansel and Gretel, or Little Red
Riding Hood.
The handhewn laurel branch
four-poster bed in The Woodland is queen size, and piled
high with fine linens and plump pillows, topped with a
handstitched quilt. This bed was created for you by Todd
Barrow, who was featured on HGTV's Modern Masters,
as
well as having made the bedroom furniture for Disney's
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in Orlando!
A dual-control electric mattress warmer completes your
comfort in this woodsy haven. Entirely surrounded by
nature's beauty, your room is all in soft greens, and
your view is of ivy, and stone steps, and leafy bowers.
White chestnut floors, and a private Jacuzzi bath
in soothing tones of copper and cream help envelop you
in this old-growth forest setting.
And you've gotta love that great old-fashioned pump! A friend refashioned
it into a wonderful tub-filler faucet for us.
Enjoy an evening in your BathTec whirlpool tub-for-two,
but don't miss the sunset view
from your private deck, in its b
ucolic ivy garden with
the westerly view of the mountainside
on one side of you and the stream tumbling past on the
other.
There is
beautiful native stonework
all around the cottage. The
stone steps leading down into the little cove will bring you right to the
Woodland's private entry.
Follow the flagstone path around the corner of your room and find your very own private deck! This little jewel is a marvelous place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or watch the sunset over the mountaintop in the afternoon. Have your breakfast delivered in a Room Service Breakfast Basket and enjoy it al fresco on your deck!

But seriously, this room is all about that gorgeous bed. Fashioned from the branches of the Great Rhododendron, which local folks call Laurel, it's uniquely beautiful. And it's super comfortable, too! Our mattresses are made especially for us by a local manufacturer. Lots of Ahhhh there.
